RunnerAID
A downloadable game for Windows
Runner Aid is an endless runner depicting the story of a boy who for the sake of saving his dying friend gets into a shrinking energy ship to travel through his blood vessels and eliminate the bacteria making him sick.
The aim is to navigate the vessels without scraping the vein walls so as to not damage the ship or you’ll be stuck there forever, buried in the vein. Your ship is armed with medicinal energy pellets that can kill the bacteria but they need to be delivered directly by you deep inside each bacteria.
Along the way, you will also encounter Red Blood Cells, which do not harm you in any way, nor help you in any way and are immune to the energy pellets. White Blood Cells on the other hand have an advantage, where the ship's energy core can absorb them to recharge shields, but be careful, these are sensitive to the energy pellets and will explode just like the bacteria, losing your chance to regain shield charges.
Controls :
- WASD and Mouse movement - To control the primary movement.
- Q, E - To control the rolling of the ship.
- Shift, Left Ctrl - To increase/decrease the thrust of the ship.
- Space Bar or Mouse Left Click - Shoot energy pellets.
- R for emergency reset - At the price of your entire Shield charge, reset your position in the middle of the vein when you are unable to control the ship
Technical Considerations: The project uses real-time lighting, which can be intensive on GPUs.
